Whatever happened to her? My mother had an old 78 of her singing Ave Maria.

She was described by Winston Churchill as a 'formidable talent'.

Well...he was a bit of a boozer eh? ;-)

Oh, I LOVE this, Pat....Didn't she have a sweet voice and such an open lovely smile....I LOVE Melvyn Douglas---he was an extrordinarily talented man---And I was lucky enough to work with him once....Also Jackie Cooper---He became a Director in TV and Films---I did one episode of something he directed, but I don't remember what it was.
A VERY HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to you and your very dear MTL, my dear!

I owe you Pat!

I was trying to explain who Eugene Palette was to a friend and got as far as: "he always played the father or uncle to..." and couldn't remember Deeana's name at all.

Scarlet: thank you and to you honey.

Beleek: the last I heard she was a politician in France - but that was along time ago.

Manic: a lot of men of a certain age were in love with her. I adored her as a young girl.

Naomi: wasn't Melvyn Douglas sexy? George Brent was another who could make me melt. And you got to work with Melvyn!!!!
Another post coming up I hope Naomi:)
Happy Valentine's Day t you . We shall quietly prepare for our guests.
