There were wild snowdrops every where
View from the bridge. The Inn at Winsford has had the thatch catch fire quite often but I believe they are not allowed to change it

lovely photos. thanks for sharing.
Inviting looking pub, there.
As to the third photo, which way is the stream flowing: toward the photographer or away? Interesting geology there, or is it a man-made diversion?
Cheers.
What a fantastic looking thatched roof on the Inn. I have an ongoing converted chapel in a nice part of Scotland, where I am thinking of thatching the roof of some out buildings.
The pics have given me some new inspiration.
The first photo the water is flowing away- it is actally a ford and I'm standing on the road. Then I turned to the right and climbed the bridge so I think the water was flowing towards the camera. the pub is great but we just had a drink as MTL and grand- daughter stayed at home getting lunch etc
I always enjoy your photos, Pat.
Your photos make me ache for the English countryside and the lovely inns! I am so envious.
Jimmy B: they do look enchanting as long as there are no loose sparks flying around. It sounds delightful.
Judy: thank you. I'm having a terrible time today with Firefox and keep having to shut down.
Heather: sorry I missed you.
Streams, greenery, snowdrops and a warm, inviting pub - bring on winter.
Like most people living out my way, I've had more than enough of summer and drought.
Sheri: you'll have to make a trip.
Miss D. and we are longing for the spring and will we get a summer this year?
I cannot get over these trips you take..Hiking all over--Up and Down...I think it is FANTASTIC! I can barely get from one room to the next, these days....lol!
BEAUTIFUL SCENERY, Pat....And a lovely destination, too! Yum Yum!
A lovely outing. And a wonderful-looking pub.
Naomi: I seem to be paying for it today if my shoulder has anything to do with it.
re: the pint. I 'll have one of those. just one, please
David: coming right up:)
Jack: I lost you but I knew you would be somewhere near the pub:)
