A Winter Surprise
by
Solveig Paulson Russell
Last night while I was sleeping
The snow came softly down
And slipped on all the shrubbery
A shining snowflake gown.
I guess that every little bush
Felt startled with surprise,
To find itself a cotton plant
On opening up its eyes.

Aaawww!
Wontlet life: yea I like it- I could almost have written it - were I a poet:)
Roseneath: sweet and simple.
Wonderful, not enough to play in though
lom: oddly enough that hadn't occurred to me:)
really?
lom: too busy keeping warm
What a lovely little verse! Your garden looks like a winter wonderland! I must admit I felt like a big kid when the snow came.
Bob-Kat I managed to resist the temptation to frolic in it.
