It's incredible that anyone could deliberately start a fire under such circumstances. It makes it so much worse than a 'natural disaster' - and they're terrible enough.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

It's terrible! That's where Russ is heading!
yes - we fear fire, but God is bigger than even our fears. I will join you in prayer, right now
I was just reading about this. How absolutely awful.
John.g:hopefully the worst is over. On TV it looks completely burnt out. An awful tragedy.
David: thank you.
I just keep praying and hoping it is over soon and healing can begin.
notes fromTFT:the least we can do is send them our loving thoughts and prayers.
Surcie: we have family in Australia so heard early from their phone call and then I read Miss Diarist who lives there but is safe thank goodness.
Arsonists? It beggars belief.

Sandy: one wonders if they couldn't have a eucalyptus free zone all around the town. They go up like a tinder box but maybe they are uncontrollable.
This is just HORRIFIC! And it still rages on....So very terrible.
Desperate sad news. I heard on the radio earlier the death toll is over 180.
Relieved to hear the family are safe Pat.
Naomi: you must have an idea of what it must be like living in California.
Hangar Queen: thank you - it is a great relief - where they are it's mainly floods. They have such extremes of weather.
I'm glad your family is safe, dear. Horrible times down under.
Than you Randall. I can't stop thinking about those people who now have nothing
