If the trailer is as good as the movie, this is a hit waiting to happen. I cried tears of joy just watching the preview. Imagine what I'll do in the movie. Thanks for sharing. I did not know about this.
Me Too, dear Pat...! I am hoping I get a DVD of it during this "awards" season...! I cannot wait!!
BTW: There is another film you might look for--"THE LAST QUARTET"....It is really Wonderful! Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christopher Walken (He is BRILLIANT and so very moving...) It's about a "string" quartet...!
Naomi: I remember a film Quartet -years ago from a Somerset Maugham story but don't know if this has any connection with it. I hope you get to see it than you can tell us about it. I'll look out for The Last Quartet. Sounds my cup of tea.
I know that tghis "Quartet" is about retired Opera Singers living together in a very wonderful house. I don't think that is what Maugham's story was about.
"The Last Quartet" IS right up your alley, my dear!! As is the Maggie Smith film.....!
I love Pauline Collins. I saw her live on stage doing Shirley Valentine, it was just a one woman show, and she was amazing. So amazing I went to see her a second time.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Joey: I saw her on TV as Shirley Valentine and roared when she said to camera,
"Aren't men a load of s--t?"
Must have been great to see her live.
