When I was little I always went outside to look for the shinning star in the sky every Christmas Eve. I just happened to be outside this year on Christmas Eve and looked up at the stars in the sky and searched again. Your photo is lovely.
Parsnip: what a great idea. Remind me to do the same next year:)
Granny Annie: it did seem to shrink in the process but I awoke in the middle of the night and the lawn was bathed in bright moonlight. And today there was brigt sunlight and I said to MTL - 'Look Mary's face is aglow with sun light.'
Rashbre: you are quite right. As Bette Davis said 'don't let's ask for the moon Jerry - we have the stars!'
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Very timely Pat. Happy Christmas!
I clicked on it, enlarged it and it's even more magical. I'd be excited if I caught a moment like this too.

Naomi: it is very small and very faint. But it's there:)
Did you plan that or was it a happy accident?
In response to my previous comment, "bunk" = nonsense. Hence, I wish you a bunk-free new year.
UB: thanks for the explanation. Hence bunkum I suppose.
Happy accident I'm afraid - as are most things with me. Or not.
Perfect timing! You mentioned my Nativity scene. Can you believe it came from Ikea a few years ago? Not really Swedish looking is it? :D
Joey: it still beats my cigar box:)
