What a very pretty Hotel, Pat...and your Lunch---except for dessert, sounded quite yummy....Was the Roast Beef good? Yorkshire Puddding and all?

A lovely outing on a Sunday on the brink of Spring weather....!

Naomi: the Yorkshire pudding looked good and MTL said it was good beef and I tasted the roast pots (I had boiled which were not great)which were crisp and fluffy inside. We both had roasted parsnips which were delectable. They really need to extend their dessert menu - choice of three, none of which really appealed.

It looks a nice place, a bit more "upmarket" than the "Merrie Monk", where I spend Sunday lunchtimes listening to John G griping!

Keith : it's not that up market. Lots of Somerset burrs in the bar and little ole ladies in the restaurant.

Those windows and chandelier are beautiful. If I had such windows in my house I'd park a daybed in front of them and spend every wintry weekend curled up with a book.
