Such an unspoilt, clean, and interesting looking part of the country.

The greyness of the sky just adds to the ambience. I'm a strange one, because I actually prefer the rain rather than the sunshine.

A very pleasant post indeed to read first thing on a Monday morn.

I love mimosas. And my husband and I very nearly bought a house in Minehead eight years ago.

Jimmy: fortuitous that you prefer the rain - living in Scotland. I know I know - I was born and bred 20 miles north of Manchester. My Jewish American SIL used to say the rain was why we Brits had such great skins.
Thanks for the kind words.

Mary: that would have been nice. I must come over and see if I can figure out where you are yet.

I love mimosas, too, both the tree and the drinks!!

Here in NE Ohio, we had rain all day yesterday. My English mother-in-law, who hails from Chester, says she doesn't mind it because it reminds her of her youth.

Pat:

The middle photo with the pink flowers is a bergenia.

Hope this helps!
