Off Out.

Sun’s appeared so we’re away to the further nursery to buy a faux plant for the sun room and before you gasp in horror we always have fresh flowers, supplemented by some silk ones hither and yon.. The faux plant I bought for the hall – a dead ringer for cannabis – fools everybody – even the ace gardener Margaret.

At last! For days I have been trying to order a book – The Convicts and other short stories recommended by Charlie(see side –bar) but there have been endless complications because my credit card changes this month which seem to have confused everybody so they would take the order and then cancel it – over and over again. Fingers crossed!
Have a nice week-end.

At least it doesn't matter if you forget to water faux plants

Does smoking the faux plant give you a faux high?

cheers! glad the sun is out across the pond, sugar. i share your belief in silk plants as a supplement to real flowers and plants. there are just some areas that scream for greenery/color that real plants can't possibly survive in, unless of course one has a resident botanist/servant who tends to such things... ;~D xoxoxo

I think I should have faux plants because most of mine die - not necessarily from thirst, they can also die from drowning.
Your account of the Indian trip was fascinating. Thank you.

Ah, but we had a faux palm tree that my father-in-law, while visiting us from Colorado, faithfully watered because it looked "droopy" to him.

I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't real, but faux water would have helped.

Anewway: life is easier all round.

Kim: is that the latent hippy again?

Savannah: sadly no resident botanist here. Glad you agree:)

Sandy : India will continue for a while. Your thumb sounds the same sort of green as mine;)

Charlie: that's a sweet story. And I've just realised I haven't yet put you on my side-bar. A task for tomorrow.

I used to know the name of the plant that looks like cannabis, but I can't remember it now.

Pat, thanks for the visit. I looked through the post, but I saw nothing about "tylene". Where did you see that?

I have the most spectacular paper poppies that someone once gave me, I completely adore them. I have no idea if poppies like them actually exist in reality though, they're huge and so more like an artist's impression of poppies.

There is a garden near here that has, amongst the living plants, plastic flowers, it looks so cool!

Nothing wrong with a little fakery, I say.

Don't forget, don't smoke it!

Judy: 'remind myself of this advice: don't ever go to work without Tylen*l in your pocket!!'
Copied and pasted missus! I'm longing to know what I'm missing out on:)

Eryl: they sound divine. The big ones look papery anyway and I always long to have the exotic ones. I love the many blue ones I saw in Scotland and tried to grow then but they pined.
Fakery? All the world's a stage.

Johng: as if:)

And get some nice Essential oils burning and nobody will know the difference.

sandalwood joss sticks and Radiohead's Fake plastic trees on the stereo should do it.

Scarlet: excellent idea. I'd forgotten orchids can be fragrant.

Rashbre: you were lost (your comment) but now you are found:)
Great link!
