Sam: not Anna - how great that would have been. I'm taking a break over the holiday week-end - over the last month I have suddenly found I can no longer access a couple of blogs I've visited regularly. Back on Monday or Tuesday.
Debra: that's like my auntie who lived in Lancashire. She married a GI from Rhode Island and they are still married and living in the states with children and grand-children.
It's not my site is it? Were you having a problem accessing mine? I haven't been posting anything, nor visiting either. Just busy with school holidays, camping out, bits and pieces. The last post I did was nearly 3 weeks ago.
FMC has shut down her's for a couple of months due to work.
Sam: no it wasn't you. I would have been devastated. FMC was one and I guessed it must be something of the sort but it's still a slight shock. The other one seems to have righted itself.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

I'm having Naomi's problem seeing the embed.
Sigh
I hope you have a joyous Easter, dear.

Cool song! And sung so cleverly.
I'm guessing you met Anna. Am I right? Am I right? Tell us!!!!!!!!!!!
My mother-in-law was born in Chester, and met my father-in-law when her was stationed there during WWII. They have been married ever since then.

I think I saw one of my uncles in one of the photos! I'll have to watch it again. Thanks for sharing this.

I don't know what the funny stuff is. There were two and I hoped it might translate itself en route to the comment box.
Love it! I've heard it before - have it on cd, I think - but I really like the photos that they've put with it. Good lookin' guys :o)
Kath: I thought you must know it. I think the lyrics are so smart.
In a previous life I'm sure I was sitting on the front of a Sherman tank flashing my fishnets at the liberation of Paris.
Daphne: I was always sad I was too young for the GIs.
