You know, dear, when I sent you those photos of me, I really didn't intend for you to post them on the internet.

Cheers.

Randall: sorry! I should have checked.

Pi, I don't care, He is just soooooo gorgeous hmmmmmm... I think it's those crinkly dark eyes that do it for me, and that hint of humour/laughter just bubbling away under the surface.. He is just soooo... there is a term we used in the sixties and it was - I'm gone 'real gone' - hmmmm... and I am too..

Kate: on of his most attractive traits is that he can laugh at himself.

He's not my favorite. I prefer my men with lips.....LOL

Well, I have to say I find it surprising. Can't say I ever liked him though, and short men ick me out anyway, so my instinct must have right. For once. Give me Gordon Brown any day of the week.

Judy: Oh didn't I say it was hie mind that attracted me:)

Dandelion; with much pleasure. Take him plueeze. As far away as possible.

Shorter or not, he is sigh-worthy, and yes, he has a great sense of humour.

Haha, this reminds me of one auntie who used to swooooooon over a radio announcer who has a glorious voice. Then she saw him...

Oh pi! Poor gordon brown! I will happily take him away. Once I lose him a bit of weight and wash him, you will be sorry you let me have him.

GG: there was a radio announcer who fancied himself until he heard himself described by a Scottish lady as 'Wee fattie from the BBC.'

Dandelion: not in a million years:)

Hi Pat. Visiting from Michele's tonight to let you know how much I laughed when I read this. My own experience with cameras bears out how much it can distort reality. I am always surprised at how tall/short television or movie personalities seem when I first meet them in person.

Which makes me shudder: what do people think of ME when they first see me in person. Gaaa...scary!

Pat said...

Carmi: I used to wish I were inches taller when modelling but they liked my height for filming and for making cars look bigger. Whatever - if one rmembers to smile on first meeting it softens the shock:)

Well, I've been in a room with George and he is NOT short, at all!
I'm not sure where that info came from, Pat....As I recall, he is a nice normal height....!
He has a GREAT sense of humor and I like that he is often self-depricating...A man who does not take himself too seriously, yet is involved in many serious and thoughtful projects! He really uses his celebrity for "good", and I admire tha, very very much...!
(George was married---his only marriage---to one of my dearest friends daughter...A WONDERFUL Actress in her own right---Talia Balsam...Her Mom is Joyce Van Patten, and her Daddy was Martin Balsam...I met Talia when she was 4 years old.....)

Naomi: I'm glad he is a good height. I just saw him on TV with Gordon Brown who was slightly taller - but have no idea how tall that is. I didn't know he had been married - lucky girl. I agree he is an all round lovely guy.

Nicolas Sarkosy wears high heels, did you know?

Pat said...

Dandelion: I would imagine he would wear some sort of built up shoe now he's married to a tall girl.

at 6 foot 3 I never worried about height and neither did those looking for me in a crowd.

Yes, he's terribly handsome. Those photos make me swoon. Anyway, George is indeed not very tall. I saw him once and was surprised that he was shorter and greyer than I could ever think. But ah.... great bone structure, nice face. So good he hasn't gone plastic with it.

I like short men with flat heads. It gives me somewhere to put my gin and tonic.

George came by his looks honestly. His dad, Nick was always one of the better looking local TV journalists. George was born in the town that I live in, and grew up about an hour from here. He's 5'10", not too bad, considering...

Pat said...

Daavid: and are you dark and handsome?

Kanani: perfection is boring anyway.

Daphne: what are you like?
