Everything stops when the music stops
I saw Sergio Tiempi play Venezuelan music - he is Venezuelan - on TV yesterday and it was sublime. I can't find it on you tube but this will give you a glimmer.
Off to Taunton today.

A very nice selection, thank you. I had to go to Google Maps to locate Taunton. We Americans need a geography lesson or two.
UB: nothing to my ignorance of the layout of the USA except for
the places I've visited. I keep meaning to put a map up over my computer.
Marvellous choice of musician and composition. A deserved recipient of the Prix Alex de Vries some years ago, and a mellower of souls throughout my earlier years.
Pretty fantastic....! I'd love to hear other things by this incredibly agile pianist....!
Warden: ah you know him already:)
Naomi: the piece he played was unlike any piano music I've ever heard. I'll keep trying to find it.
Just imagine, this young man is from my neighbour country and I've never heard of him. At first I thought he was that other young man from Venezuela who has a project going to teach many poor children music.
I'm listening and it's wonderful.
And Taunton will be all the better for it.
GG: aren't you proud?
Madame D: I know that and you know that but Taunton can't quite seem to get it:)
I do love a bit of Chopin but I'll have to wait till tomorrow morning to listen as it's well past my bedtime.
Oddly this is the second time today Venezuela has been mentioned: earlier Bob said he's applied for a job there. Heaven knows when I last heard the word!
Eryl: good! I'll leave the door on the latch;)
Bob's really got itchy feet now. I'd love to know more about Venezuela.
I've just watched, glory be, he's marvellous, and so young!
I think Bob wants to get a feel for the whole world before he settles down.
Eryl: I love his still beauty. He's much more animated when he's talking.
Bob's got the right idea.
