The Back Porch - Almost Finished.

Not a spider in sight.  They'll be back

Doors to a loo and garage

Door to Garage which is really the utility room full of white goods

Door to sheds.  Enter at your peril.

Door to Kitchen and windows of old sculleries combined to make a shower room but presently
housing MTL's stuff.

You all did GOOD, my dear....I looked at the next two pictures below and thought--'what is all that?'...Don't strain your back, my dear Pat!

Oh I've missed all the fun here. My internet has been down and now it's really slow.

Well the back porch looks excellent. Is that roof noisy when it rains? One of my sister-in-law's has that kind in her kitchen and it can get quite noisy when it rains, but it's cool too because their room is very light.

Mike and Ann: thank you - that's before I put all the 'stuff' back.

Chef: thank you for your comment which I seem to have lost. So glad you like the texture etc.

Naomi: no htere is no way I could lift that cast iron.

Joey: very often that is the only way we can tell it's raining and you have to be under it. Hopefully Mick has fixedthe leaks.
Such a bore when one can't get on line.

is that an old-fashioned carpet beater on the wall? I remember my mother had one of those .... wonder whatever happened to it!

well done on the tidying up, spider removal and all round whiteness!

roseneath: yes; I sling rugs over the line outside and beat hell out of them. Very therapeutic.

That is becoming a really useful looking space!

"...the utility room full of white goods..." - everything about your house seems to be white! Do you live on a Greek Island?? Or is just that white shows up the spiders better?

Pat said...

ALW: it is useful - muddy boots, umbrellas, gardening stuff, fruit and veg and a holding place before I turf out fading flowers.

Pat said...

Gadjo: the house exterior is white so it was a no brainer. However you have a point and the last big wall paint I lashed out on lemon chiffon.
My pipe dream used to be to end up on an island in Greece.

Our back porch is not as close to completion as yours. It has basically been on hold for almost two years. At least it is enclosed. We only have three doors. One leading in and out of the house, one going to the outside and the other going to the imaginary storm shelter that is not yet started. I envy you your porch:)

You'll have a relative of our Eric in there before long!

Granny Annie: the storm shelter sound interesting.

John: who is our Eric? I feeel I oght to know.u

I once lived in a tiny flat that had nine doors. My cousin told me she couldn't sleep one night so tried to count my doors in her mind, like people counting sheep.

Ha, like the spiders, I'm back! I've been gardening, tutoring, editing, enjoying my mother's company.

I've read all your posts, because, you know, I just had to...I'm arm-chair travelling. I enjoyed every one!

GG: counting doors - especially here -would make sleep a cert.
I always feel you are close by:)

Pat, our Eric is my pet monster spider!
