LOL, LOL.....The Bath is Frightening....! But, a great conversation peice....! Wonderful picture of your son & DIL...Antiqua looks lole THE place to go...! HAPPY 25th TO THEM!!!!
Naomi: did you ever see the film with Sally Gray and her lover was held captive whilst the murderer slowly filled the bath with acid? The captive managed to train a little white dog to pull the plug out.
Pearl: as soon as the decorators and carpet men have left I'll tackle the bath but can't expect miracles and its beauty will be shrouded in the box for evermore. I shouldn't wonder:)
LOVE the tub!!! LOVE it! what character - what stories it must hold! what glory it must have seen in its day! and its age??? can't remember if you've mentioned???
and so the renovation continues! bless your heart - and your washer/dryer - and do be careful navigating those stairs! then, be ready to one day sit down and be surrounded by all this new found peace and beauty!
Gypsywoman: the house was built about 1924 so almost 90 years old. I still can't work out why it would be in the attic unless it was for the maid. I await the peace and beauty with open arms:)
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Oh, my. That bath tub...
I'll have to show Mary. As cleaners of other people's houses, I can just see us standing over this tub: first the horror, then the jokes...

That bathtub has a story behind it. Where's Agatha Christie when we need her?
It was in the attic? Your house is almost 90 years old?
My imagination is running wild.
