Wild Life
The French red legged partridge must have told her friends. There were two of these on the arbour but by the time I got the camera one had flown.

MTL ws intigued by this white dog we saw on Exmoor. He was lovely and hugging him was like hugging a tame polar bear with cashmere fur. Incredible. He is a Siberian Husky. I wish I'd asked his name .

Can you eat a partridge? I'm just curious. I *know* you can't eat a Siberian Husky.

That one is a young (this year's) hen pheasant, not a partridge. The bird I mean, not the dog.
Yes, partridges are very edible, just nicely enough for one person.

Kevin: is that an aesthetic reaction or a gourmet?

Naomi: until I married MTL we always had small dogs which tend to be yappy and snappy - corgis were originally cattle herders. This one seemed so lovable.

UB: you certainly can - see Mike below. Some nations eat extraordinary animals.

Mike and Ann: you do know ;your fowl:)

Hi Pat. We do hope you mean fowl, and NOT foul.
Regards, Mike and Ann.

Aha, your Christmas gift has doubled. A pair of partridges. Now you need a pear tree.

That dog looks like it's laughing, I like pictures of laughing dogs.

If it was a 'her' it had to be Belle.

'Belle and Sebastian' was a foreign show back in the late 60's early 70's....followed by 'Belle, Sebastian and the Horses'

I loved it.

Mike and Ann: fowl it is;)

Judy No no no no no! Zat eez not my dog and that is NOT MTL!!!!!
I'm saying this with an Inspector Clouzot voice.

John G: do you know Mike an Ann? They also know their fowl

GG: it certainly had a sweet nature

Four D: sounds good - that's one I missed. Either name would have been suitable.

Huskies are great dogs, though they've a long adolescence. I really wish the EMBLOS would consent to me getting another one.

Cheers.

I love how that dog looks. So blindingly white.

I am Fickle Cattle.

Fickle Cattle: it did look almost mythical.

Lovely cuddly dog. Was that his human with him?

Pat said...

Sandy: yes - both complete strangers to us. I don't usually talk to strange men unless they have an engaging animal with them.

I don't believe I've ever seen a partridge in real life! Now I want to... :-)

Kath: I'm told they are very tasty;)
