Blue Ball Inn aka the Sand Piper contd.
Inside is cosy and inviting

Large menu which French son approved of.

This is Countisbury at the edge of Exmoor. The Doone Valley is close by and Lynton and Lymouth are one and a half miles away down a breathtaking steep hill bordered by the sea.

This is Countisbury Church just across from the inn. That's the tip of my umbrella - the weather was atrocious. But we has a great time.

I love when you post photos of different places. I would love to visit the UK some day. My late mother-in-law was born in Chester and told me many many stories.

Parsnip: it's just the photos suffer from the elements but it did highlight the cosiness inside.

Debra: you'll do it one day I'm sure and bring to life the places she told you about.
