Aside
Tomorrow is going to be hectic as I have 2 appointments in Taunton and our lane is going to be closed all day ( somebody's drains). I'm conscious I haven't done the next Past Imperfect episode but should manage it at the week-end DV. Hopefully I'll get my hearing problem sorted.

A compliment, however qualified or backhanded or whatever, is still a compliment, and I shall keep it as such.

Kate: thank you. At least it should be interesting.
You mean you are not going to stay home and watch the drains drain? Humpf!
Oooh yes. Can't wait for the next instalment as you left another cliffhanger.
Mmm lovely -blocked drains! Hope the appointments are nice ones and that you're being pampered!
Hoss: it would have been fun but I had a previous engagement.
Sablonneuse: better get on with it then:)

Anna: well we had a lovely lunch but I was being introduced to digital hearing appliances and am greatly looking forward to my 45 days trial.
Johng: you just wait til i get my PCA's fitted. They are not called hearing aids now, but personal communication assistant:)
Belatedly, I have to back up the point of our old friend, Mr Palesnaketail. But unrelated, you bring to mind this: there is a village in Staffordshire called Flash. I'm wondering whether the village newsletter bears the title Flash News - a neat reversal, I'd say.
Fingers etc crossed for a speedy hearing fixing.
I will chant for you.
Hello Pat! I'm back. I see you have a new photo, you're as beautiful as ever.
Now I will have to catch up on your story, so it's a good thing you can't blog right away :-)
Shane:keep it to yourself but MTL's nickname, when he was in the RAF, was Flash! I'm going digital in my ears.
GG: thanks for putting the cherry on a great day. By reappearing I mean:)
'ears to ya!
I think I might need some PCAs soon. All the kids mumble in school, but then again, perhaps I'm better off without.
Nea: tell you all about it on Monday. I feel vastly cheered.
