Here's the question: If you had not told us it was a sunrise photo, and we had to guess sunrise or sunset, what would our answer say about us from a psychological perspective?
Randall: I think it would say whether you were a night or morning person. # 1 son would say evening because he is not a morning person and is ready for his tequila although as he took the photo he obviously appreciates the dawn.
Stunning! Well done to you both...sky and photographer.
Re: R. Sherman's question, I would've said sunset though I'm a morning person. I've only seen sunsets this colour. All the sunrise I've ever seen in different countries were pale.
Good question about sunrise or sunset. My first thought was that I miss the sunsets we used to watch in Norfolk. We rarely see them here as our view from the house is blocked.
Oh My!...that is so beautiful..and I am saying that from a colour blind perspective...I see colour but not like others...but I can see how lovely that is regardless of the limitations my eyes see it.
Red sky at night, shepherd's delight. Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning. Is it true, did bad weather follow on? Even if it poured all day, it was worth it for that amazing sunrise.
And thank you for introducing us to your new friends!
What a gorgeous photo! We get some great skies here but I've never taken a photo of one that I thought showed its full beauty. I guess I should keep trying!
The rubbish weather since spring has meant no sunsets where I am (or sunrises, probably just because I haven't been getting up early enough...), but fantastic photos like this one really warm and reassure!
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Sweet photo.

Lovely, we had a similar sunset the other day but Dad forgot to catch it!

Awsome!
How wonderful to have a balcony!
Casdok: we are doubly lucky - we have two - but Romeos are thin on the ground:)
Breathtaking - well worth clicking on to see the larger version :)

We had a sunset like that a couple of days ago, but Dad didn't think to take a picture. He told me about it!!

GG: Just lately the dawns have been amazing.
Sablonneuse: sometimes I think half the blogging world comes from Norfolk.
Nea: it hasn't been true of late - I noticed particularly - high pressure days.
Johng: Mums and Dads are a bit slow at times. We're noted for it.
Moon: MTL is colour blind.
I will bet you that that is the same sunrise I saw on the West Coast (of US & A) today.
(But I would be lying.)
