Lovely Day
Aside
Dandelion and both Granny and Randall- see side bar - helped me to learn how to put a You tube on my blog. We may all live to regret it, but meanwhile - on yet another grey murky day here in UK - have a listen. It cheered my deep sadness when # 1 son went to Uni

pi! That is fab!
I particularly like the cakes.
Dandelion: me too! I look forward to half term and I can get you on my side bar. I have to go all round the houses to get on your site at present.
What a marvellous little diversion that was, thanks I'd forgotten about that song. I'm going to have to go and knock up a batch of fairy cakes now!
Of course, once you're done with Bill Withers, there's always the Anglican Hymnal for inspiration.
Cheers.
Randall: that is downright wicked!
I heard a joke from Foots a while back:
How can you turn a duck into a lounge singer?
Put it in the oven until it's Bill Withers.
Look, complain to Foots, OK. I'm just the messenger - don't shoot me!
Sam: that's my kinda joke!
How do you put a you tube on your blog?
John: I'm SOOOOOO glad you asked whilst I can still remember.
Go to you tube and on the right where it says embed - copy what it says.
Go to you post/dash board whatever and click create then click on edit html. Then paste.
Click on preview and it should be there. Then publish. I shall await with interest. You are heaps better than me with links
That song brought me back to when it all seemed ..... I wont say simple, but at least hopeful.
I remember it being on the radio, and not a "single" I would not have bought. "Ain't no Sunshine" by Bill would have been more in line with my feelings.
I'm even a little more pessimistic these days unfortunately, but I do try to see the lovely days that I am given, and try to do what has to be done, the work at hand.
Never stop till all the souls are in paradise and not just the few around you. I lkie that idea though an endless task. I've said enough.
Good luck with your Tube hunting.
Y;-) Paddy
Welcome Paddy. I'm glad the song spoke to you. We should treasure the lovely days - rare though they may be.
Dear pi, do you not use rss feeds? That way you can subscribe to whatever blogs you want so you never lose them, and it tells you when each one is updated so you don't have to waste time checking if there is a new post.
It's the little orange button with the white curves on it.
Clicking on a link called atom should also do it. Some people use a thing called bloglines or similar, to do the same thing, but I don't know about those.
MUM2, It's not working, it won't let me copy the embed bit
Dandelion: where is the little orange button? See John g's comment.
John: I have e-mailed you. If it doesn't work we'll ask Dandelion.
Some youtube clips have been posted by unkind proprietorial people who have elected not to allow embedding.
In internet explorer, the little orange button is top right near the homepage button. It is a little orange square with two white arcs around a dot at the bottom left. Like radio waves emanating outwards. Your version may vary in terms of exact location.
I don't know about the other browsers, but a lot of blogs have a button somewhere on the actual page, or a link, which might be called rss, or atom, or subscribe or something similar.
this blog has a link at the very bottom of the page. This blog has a load of options in the sidebar on the right under "subscribe", about half way down.
Hope helpful
