Monday Mutterings

Aside

This is a link to a laugh

I really hope this works. Randall (see side bar) sent it to me as it reminded him of one of our girl's day out. and then he sweetly sent me the where withal to put the link - the video itself - on my Monday's post, but Dash board - in their wisdom will not accept it.

If it doesn't work there will be an interval whilst I jump off the balcony.

Hi Novy! It's a shame but maybe you'll get it elsewhere. It really is funny and relevant as in an earlier post a wall hit my car which never quite recovered.

Dear pi
If you wish to embed the actual video within a post, what you can do is this:

First go to the video on youtube. On the right you will see two bits of code, one labelled "url" and one labelled "embed".

If you copy what's in the "embed" box, then go to the post that you're writing in blogger (either in create or edit), click on the tab that says "edit html", and paste what you've copied, then the video will show up in a nice little box within your own actual post.

Don't know if that's any help...

Thank you Dandelion dear - I'll give it a go but what I really want to know is has anyone seen the bloody thing yet?

I works for me, dear.

BTW, its material such as this which causes me to further hate American television.

Cheers and thanks for being a good sport. (I couldn't put my hand on you "driving into the wall post"

Yes, I've seen it and it's so typical of the male attitude of that era isn't it.
I was so lucky to have a grandad who let me sit on his lap and start the car - being careful to check it was in neutral. As soon as I could reach the pedals he would reverse to the gate and let me drive it towards the garage. Thankfully, I always stopped in time!

It works for me too.

It worked fine and it's funny.

Do you use the feature on You Tube that allows you to "register" your blog?

You sign up once. After that there's nothing to making a couple of clicks and - voila - the You Tube appears on your blog.

At least it works for me.

It Worked For Me Too! LOL, LOL...Very funny....I had seen it when you had a link befire, (I think) to his blog....I love that it looks like it was filmed in the 30's.....! Did that wall hit your car in a similar manner? (lol)

Hope you have a good week too, Pat....I cannot believe that September is half over...well, more than half over....!

No need to exit from balcony or "dash" boards, it works.

And from there I discovered even more Harry Enfield stuff on You Tube. I needed some laughs to warm me up.

Thank you Pat and Randall.

You are making fun of you? Tell me, is that the same wall that hit your car?

Pat said...

Dandelion: I'm going to print out your tips and Granny's to help the next time I have a problem. As long as it works I'm happy

4d: vive la difference I say!

Nea: I always think of you when I have html probs because I know you are brilliant at it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Hoss: no my wall was much sneakier.
As for making fun of me - I like to get there first.

Walls can be buggers sometimes. Where I live there is a definite wheelie bin problem, they are always jumping out and knocking my wing mirrors off.

eryl:silly little creatures aren't we?

The link works and is very funny. I hate to admit that, but there you are. It's funny. But women are still better drivers than men, IMHO.

Monozygote said...

I don't know about the registering blog option on YouTube - sounds fab. I just thought you might prefer something that looks more like this.

Pat said...

Moon: Harry will be very pleased:)

tlp: I know that and you know that- what makes it funnier is that the chaps don't realise it.

Dandelion: got it and left comment. What's good is that you can comment without having to'close tabs' I had seen it but it's just as funny.

Monozygote said...

Cheers, pi. I will not rest until I see you embed something :-)

Pat said...

dandelion: no pressure then:)
