Missing you!

Aside

Streets full of people, all alone
Rows full of houses, never home
Church full of singing, out of tune
Everyone's gone to the moon

Eyes full of sorrow, never wet
Hands full of money, all in debt
Sun disappears in the middle of June
Everyone's gone to the moon

Jonathan King

Crazie Queen http://www.craziequeen.blogspot.com/ asked at the week-end
‘Do you ever think of blog friends?’
and the answer is yes – especially when they disappear. Just from my side bar – apart from the officially resting ones – jonnyb is in Cornwall – missed by all- 4d is in hospital and we should all send our heartfelt wishes to him and his family, Kenju is away, Randall is not well and heart felt wishes to him also.
Sam is busy. GG is off the radar, Doc Maroon is busy, banana is in foreign parts, aunty M in on hols as is the blonde.
I’m not the only one who feels a dearth – Kim pointed it out the other day and all I can say is please come back soon – all of you. It may only be a cyber family but you are all missed.xoxoxox

Yes, I feel the same. Reading blogs must be addictive but I find you develop a genuine interest in the people whose posts you read regularly so there is a gap when there's no news.
We looked out for the meteors last night but didn't see a thing. Maybe it's because the village is well lit - or perhaps it wasn't visible from France.

The worst is when someone stops posting and doesn't leave a message to say why. We do worry, don't we?

sablonneuse:we are very dark here which I think is essential and it takes a while to get one's eyes adjusted especially if you wear specs.

z: I have an arrangement with #1 son to at least tidy up when I drop off my perch and let everyone know. Not anytime soon I trust:)

It is so true...I look at my sidebar "roll" and so many people have disappeared or fallen away or are on vacation, etc., etc...And I miss them a lot! I too feel such a bond with all the oeople I read every day or every other day, and that come and read me. It is like we "see" each other more, in a way, than the actual people who are friends in my daily life---especially since my daily life has changed so much in these last almost three years....!

I surely hope you don't fall away Pat...It is always such a pleasure tio come here and read about your life, weather right now or your memoirs...And I love your comments over at my place....!

Did NOT see any shooting stars here last night...Too overcast with bad bad bad air...But our private concert was WONDERFUL. I will be blogging about it.

Join Facebook (www.facebook.com) and look me up there. It fills in a bit of time while everyone else is off on holiday, and you can connect with other groups of friends.

Don't hesitate to send me an email if you need any help or pointers

Naomi: I'll do my best not to fall away and look forward to hearing about the concert.xoxox

Kim: so far I have managed to ignore its existence bur now you've mentioned it I'll have a look. and thanks for the offer of help. Can you clean windows?

Kim Ayres said...

Do you mean microsoft windows or your house :)

I'm with you Pat.
I keep them in my thoughts and hope they come back soon.
Shame about the windows Kim;)
Now I'm going off for a few days, out into the wilds with no internet connection, but back on Thursday to read more.

Hi Pat [woeful, small voice here]. I did think of you all when I wasn't blogging. Wave wave.

How can JonnyB go away though? Doesn't he know he should blog even when he's away?

neena maiya (guyana gyal) said...

...oh...he is blogging from Cornwall...

Now I have lots of reading and catching up to do.

Yesterday, working in the garden, I thought of the garden photo you'd posted, Pat.

Hi Pat, there are people I do so worry about when they don't post.

But then we know how easy it is to just take a blogbreak.

I couldn't keep up with two blogs, so the Craziecats went on hiatus, and they had loads of comments from worried blogfriends from around the world....

Kim: the house actually, and there are lots of double aspects but I already have the crap(birds) - that's the problem.

Nea: good girl for telling us.

GG:you're back! That's great! Is jonnyb blogging from Cornwall? I could have sworn I checked today. Take it easy - as long as we know you are OK:)

CQ: I once considered two blogs to separate the story and asides but decided it would confuse me - never mind anybody else.

I keep checking in on Banana but he's never home :(

Oh for sure! I think of my blogger buddies a lot. And I've met 3 of them. One all the way from Iceland, and one from California, and one from New Jersey. I hope to meet more. I talk to another one often. She lives in New York City. I'll meet her one day I know.

Pat said...

Sim: I know! he never writes - he never phones!

Pat said...

tlp: I haven't met any of mine although I feel as if I have with some of them. We are off the beaten track and don't travel far these days, which is a bore because one son is in France and one is going to Australia next year. My sister is in the States and MTL's brother is also. Ho hum!

Quick! Grab him someone! Drat! He's gone again :(

I'm not away anymore, Pat!

My daughter tells me almost daily, "Those people are not your friends" (meaning bloggers) and I just have to say "little does she know!!"

Oops. I thought the holiday report was from Cornwall...

Judy: My friends are returning. Children are funny aren't they?

GG: no to worry - I wouldn't have known he was back, but for you.

Oh all right then - here you are, Pat...

Pat said...

Ivan: hi sweetie!

O, I remember when that was big. Along with Peter and Gordon and all of those other soft singers.

Pat said...

Joe: it sort of sticks in one's memory. Shame about the writer.
