I never had much desire to rock climb, feeling that I don't have enough upper body strength for it. Those rocks look fairly easy to clumb, since there are so many nooks and crannies to catch hold in. Is that right? Or were they awful?

Judy: they are not so frightening because of the height and when you come off(fairly often)you just dangle on the rope and can be safely let down but there are no good flakes of rock to get hold of and they feel slithery and unsafe. Also because its sand-stone the holds aren't constant

This looks so dangerous..! I applaud you that you climbed mountains, Pat....It is not anything that ever interested me...just 'chicken', you know? I am amazed that you did it! And just reading about tyat "moment"-----your description of that moment was enough climbing for me....LOL!

About Seemah: She is Serene and in the face of a current situation that woild lay most people low...But she is amazing and this lunch gathering did her heart good, I am happy to say....And btw: We were in England together in 1994...my second trip, her well, 12th or something...Seemah and Bill and the Family lived in Golders Green, on The Heath, for a year, in 1974....They LOVED it!

Naomi: my parents took me walking in the mountains from an early age and I have always loved them. I started rock climbing in my thirties in an attempt to tackle my demons. I wasn't very good at it and learnt real terror.
Thank you for telling me more about Seemah. I bet you had a ball in 1994:)
