Ronda looks like an amazing place - your photo of it is great! I've never been to Portugal before, but if I ever get there I'll try to remember Ronda thanks to your picture. Wow! Oh and of all the tiles I think the 'crumblies are my favourites. x
The tiles are all lovely; I like the ones you think look Portuguese, and I agree. We have some Delft tiles bought by my brother-in-law in HOlland. I love them.
I love that one from Spain of the woman holding the basket of fruit...lovely muted colors...In fact ALL the tiles are beautiful, even the "crumbly" ones, Pat....And Ronda looks very interesting....
Judy: one of my old friends - George had a fireplace made of delft tiles. I coveted it.
Naomi; they seem to use tiles in a much more decorative way out there. My sister's house in Portugal had a barbecue area beautifully tiled and they are so practical. I have been three times to Ronda and the view always thrills me.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

f:lux:it is a tourist picture-it's difficult to get that shot from where we were. Definitely a place to visit.

Crumbly and cracked? They look good for a good few years yet :)
