A Day in Taunton

Aside

My DIL left a magazine wirh the picture above - two versions of a look. I prefer the cheaper version and thought it looked comfortable and practical for the life I lead, so as I already have a similar jacket, shirt and shoes I decided to try to get the 'cut offs'. We have a lot of birthdays in September so planned to go to Taunton 'if it wasn't pouring with rain.' I have suffered from these provisos since child hood and they make me growl. The sun was bright early on - that 'I won't be here long' kind of sunshine and by the time we were in the car it was windscreen wipers full on.

We Brits are eternal optomists and congratulated ourselves that the gales had stopped and we could keep out brollies up. We were lucky - I got the 'cut-offs' half price from Principles, all our birthday presents and cards and some perfume for me. Seems they have stopped doing Diorissimo so I got J'adore instead. Slightly damp we went to a smart cafe for coffee and sandwiches but the kitchens didn't open till 12 so we had to make do with panini. The coffee was OK and now we had time to go and see 'The Bourne Ultimatum' more of which tomorrow. I need to have breadfast, read some blogs and make up beds. BTW this is an experiment of trying to do a photo and copy, all in one post, so bear with me.

Well, it worked, Pat! You did good!
How wonderful that you got ALL your shopping done and especially ALL the Presents...Sometimes that can be harder than finding clothes for oneself.,..lol!

Naomi: just been having a wonderful visit to your house, courtesy of Jamie. How I envied her and I loved your voice. Clever girl!

I think the one on the right is nicer. But then I read the prices wrong and got all confused and thought that was the one you said was less nice. I get it now.

Please can we have a pic of you in your new outfit?

Pat, I will be very interested to see what you say about that movie. Mr. kenju saw it and said it was hard to keep up with. My son said that he heard reports that it causes some people to have seizures, as with epilepsy.

Don't worry about not doing the meme. I had to tag someone...LOL

The unpredictable weather has followed us here. One forecast said cloud, another showers.
I gave in and went out to lunchand dare not risk leaving the washing out because there were dark clouds looming.
Of course, the sun came out didn't it.

dandelion: maybe whe one of the boys is here . Mtl is hopeless.

Judy: thank you honey. I think Mr Kenju and MTL are like minded on this. Meanwhile I'm catching up on th earlier Bournes.

sablonneuse: I seem to get a window, late afternoon when I can cut back and fill the garden rubbish bin. MTL always thinks the bin is full and I can always squeeze it down another couple of inches:)

I think the disproportionate amount of September birthdays can probably be traced 9 months back to Xmas and New Year parties

Kim: now I never thought of that. Very interesting my dear Watson!

Hoss: now don't expect me to do it all the time. It makes me vulnerable to mistakes.

Naomi: oh dear - i am an ignoramus. The only thing they have in common I suppose is long pointy leaves.
