A solid 9.95 out of 10 on the "Fabulous Babe-O-Meter"TM. You would have had a perfect 10, but the East German judge is an idiot.

Cheers.

Hello, Michele sent me.

Nice photo(s). I've always wanted to meet a celebrity.

Wow! That's a lot of dress. If that dress had a flavor, I'd have to say it was peppermint!

Hi Pat, what a beautiful picture, I've been reading down throught your posts & it sounds like such an exciting life you've led! I got a laugh out of your 'talk first think later' habit, I tend to have the same problem. Gets me in trouble with my 17 year old all the time!
Here from Micheles today

Hi Becky: when I think about it I have been embarrassingly caught out with my sons from time to time:) But they still love me.

Utterly beautiful, Pat. This might be my favourite picture of you so far,

Hello Pat, thanks for dropping in. I do remember you from before I took my blogging break.

Given your recent agent/dress/party missive, I assume you look out for Grand National runners with names such as 'MacLean's Mare' or 'Front-Tooth Filly'.

Pat said...

Sam: you do know that I look nothing like that now.

Pat said...

Shane: sweet of you to drop by. Them's would have been my choices for sure. As it was I chose Silver Birch
- too late to place a bet!

Hi just a trumpet! Was your mom a model?

What an amazing dress. Just how long does it take to spread out a dress like that so perfectly, anyways?

Michele sent me. Nighty night.

Hi margalit! It felt like hours and the lights are blinding so you can't see people's faces and it's very hot.

Thanks Sophie!

Yes, I did go all "unecessary".

All I can say is "Will you marry me?" Ooops, sorry, you are already happily married......well, a chap can dream cant he?

Pat said...

Keith : I know you aren't totally serious but I'm still flattered.

zoe said...

how graceful and utterly beautiful. you put today's models to shame.

Pat said...

dear Zoe! Just as well you can't see me at this moment - having just come in from gardening!

Yes, she does put today's models to shame, doesn't she?

I love the way women posed for pics. then. I've seen photos of my mother and aunts posing like that...so beautiful, graceful, feminine.

GG: it comes from the 'knees together' syndrome. I remember being shocked when I saw my step-daughter sitting with her knees apart. I'm sure now there would be two schools of thought. That we were tight a---d and the younger generation free and easy and more natural. I still believe that knees apart for a woman, is only acceptable in trousers.

Thats a striking picture, presumably for your "portfolio?"

It must be fun to have such a collection along with the interesting stories from the time, which I'm enjoying reading.

Here, this time, via Michele's - Hiya!

Pat said...

rashbre: I don't have a portfolio as such - just odd photos that photographers gave me and a couple of cuttings books.
So glad you are enjoying the story.

Nea said...

Having been forced to wear skirts for the first 16 years of my life I have resolved to wear trousers for the remaining. That way I don't have to worry about keeping my knees together and tree climbing is so much easier.

Although a beautiful creation like this might just tempt me to change my mind.

Do you think it would open up like a parachute in a fall?

These pictures are priceless! Sounds like you've had a wonderful life so far. I'll try to catch up now that I'm here. Michele sent me and I'm glad she did.

Pat said...

nea or should I say action girl. Now say after me 'knees together and when in danger cross your legs!'

Welcome last girl and hope you enjoy the visit.
