FRIDAY

FRIDAY

Today is another girl’s day out as a result of two birthdays in the same month.  However the driver has fallen and wrenched her ankle, whilst gardening in the dusk (wet steps) so I shall be driving and must remember not to have any wine at lunch time.  It would make more sense to postpone - thrice I have tried walking on crutches - but then older ladies are not always as sensible as one would hope.

On Monday the prevaricating will end and (DV) I shall continue with the story.  Have a good week-end and don’t be late.

September is an excellent month for birthdays - both in quality and quantity.

Actually Z, both birthdays were August - we have all been busy. we have five September birthdays in the family and never seem to keep to the maxim of no presents for adults!

apprentice: we did in spite of no alc for me! There was an art exhibition in the skittle alley of the pub with some big, moody paintings of Glencoe. Fortunately we have no wall space left.

shyha: all walls were left intact - oh ye of little faith. I just gently nudged a kerb.

Sam: we sa and art exhibition wjth paintings of animals, flowers and Glencoe which reminded me of my Scottish friends. There were some gouache flower paintings at £5000 but we decided we had run out of wall space!

GG: honestly if you tried the steering on my old banger you would understand. I simply have to make myself drive the other car which has power steering. I just don't want to bruise it!

All: please substitute procrastination for prevarication.
OOPS!

Gently nudging the kerb is perfectly acceptable, as kerbs tend to leap out in the paths of lady drivers.

Sim: not only that but this road is twisty, bendy and narrow.
