Coffee at Joy's
Joy's house is like an Aladdin's cave. Apart from the treasures they brought back from their years abroad Joy is very artistic and decorates anything that doesn't move like these bottles I've forgotten the name of this particular skill. Can you remind me please? I have just spoken to Joy and it slipped my mind to ask her.

Lovely post today between the decorated bottles to the orchids.
When I lived in Laguna Beach I had orchids growing on shelves along one wall. When they were done blooming in the house, outside they went to revive.
I didn't have the skill your friend does but lucked out that the orchids loved that one place in my yard.
cheers, parsnip
Bottle painting? *runs away*
I am unfamiliar with that skill--but whatever it is, she does it BEAUTIFULLY!
I love Orchids and those are so very Beautiful! It does take a special kind of loving care to keep your Orchids going for years...! Bless Joy!
Coffee? They look suspiciously like gin bottles to me hen.
Parsnip: it's great when you find the spot to keep them happy. One of mine felt at home in the downstairs cloakroom - where it was rather wasted:)
John: scaredy cat!
Naomi: dammit - I just can't remember it - something like cloisonne.
Chef: I thought of you the other day when we ended our coffee morning with a port. We have rather a lot of it just now and its nearly Christmas.
"I'm forever paintin' bottles"! (Hic!) :¬)

The bottles look like they've been decoupaged, which is a fancy word for cutting and gluing images on to a surface.
Map: pretty bottles everywhere:)
SDC: by George she/he's got it.
Of course - decoupage - how could I forget it? Many thanks:)
Lovely pictures. Love those bottles.
Damn I was going to say decoupage too, but I thought decoupage was more in 3d layers?
Joy brings joy :-)
Oh myyyyy! Lookahdem orchids. Drool.
I was thinking decoupage. Also, what JohnG said - I have a small book on bottle painting.
Whatever it is, it's lovely. Joy's home must be a treat to visit.
Granny Annie: they are well worth keeping even unadorned.
Joey: that is the word I was trying to remember. Who are you agoin?
Definitely it is decoupage. Back in the late 60's, I decoupaged everything that would stand still. lol
GG: yes I find myself staring all around at les objets.
Judy: next time you are looking for a post how about showing some?
LOVE the Phalaenopsis orchids!!
And agree with Judy, decoupage!!!
