Kim: I'm forever sticking my nose in things and being disappointed, We have strong smelling jasmine - which I don't really like and the bay when in bloom is lovely. The best is the winter sweet in February, when I have to remember to go to that part of the garden.
The shape of that Salvia is so unusual...I cannot remember ever seeing such a beautiful and different shaped flower....And the color sounds quite extrordiary....!
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

I've always had a soft spot for roses, but can't remember the last time I came across one with any real fragrance

You put me to shame! I am growing practically nothing.
Lovely photos! We have Cyclamen all over the place!
Judy: fortunately most of these are old established and come up unbidden. Also we are presently having the summer we didn't have before.
John: your garden always looks lovely.

Naomi: the salvia and I will bow our heads in delighted embarrassment.
