Where did our Spring go?

And it's worse in Scotland and Ireland poor loves! I'm going to brave the elements to meet the girls for coffee and give them the last of the birthday cake. Back in time for Tim and - hopefully - the end of present 'puter' problems with the help - according to Jimmy - of a Japanese fridge and some memory - hope it's a nice one.
BTW don't Donna and the other Jimmy look great?

Yesterday, my uncle who lives in London phoned. I asked him, How's the big thaw?

Here it's hot, grey, sticky, humid.

I'm asking all ye up north to face south and blow some cool air this way :-)

Jacqui is currently somewhere in the Cairngorms on a Geography field trip. Last broken communication said 'snowed in'. Hope they've plenty in the fridge!

I've seen snow today... I hope you've had better weather.

It was snowing this morning, although not quite settling. The rest of the day has been a bitterly cold wind with episodes of sleet.

And considering it's April tomorrow, the daffodils still aren't blooming yet. And they are smaller and less in number.

At least with the clocks forward I'm enjoying more light in the evenings

GG: London - hot grey and sticky? Have I missed something? Must listen to the weather news and I'll stand on the balcony and blow - as soon as I can face the cold;)

FourD: not the best place to be. I hope she lies low until the weather improves.

Scarlet: we are in a sort of triangle which often escapes the worst weather. I should think you've seen enough snow since you came west.

KIM; there are wonderful bonuses to living in Scotland but weather and midges are not part of them I think. More light - and the bluebells won't be far off.

Even if the weather is awful, I would love to be there.

No, no, Pat, it's hot and grey and sticky and humid here, in Guyana. The sea is behaving rather mad, spraying and spewing more grey haze.

Maggie: it's not a bad old place:)

GG: that'll teach me to look for inverted commas.

In all honesty, I don't understand what this clip from "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE" has to do with this old wonderful chesnut of-a-song....But, be that as it may...You won't believe this Pat..But, I just read, a few days ago, that THIS Scene was filmed at Beverly Hills High School, because they actually had this Pool that was covered by the Mechanical Basketball Court---so that they could have Basketball Games (The Gym, actually) and then, when needed, open the floor up--AND THERE WAS "The Pool"....!
LOVE IT!

Naomi: it's fun though.
That's extraordinary - I'd assumed they had made it for the film. Great scene and a great mix.
