This time they wouldn't publish the pictures with numbers. Fortunately my readers are highly intelligent and can work it out.
Bear with.

Beautiful, simply, totally beautiful.

And I'm itching to ask questions...

I love the sleeping bag story. I hadn't heard it. And the shot of the grave. Boy...I sure wish I could hop on a plane just like that (*snap*). Unfortunately, it's not that easy.

I wonder why your blog is being cranky.

Thanks so much for taking us along with you. So beautiful. :)

It is all so very very lovely, Pat....I loved the Sleeping Bag story---I wonder why it took so many many years for it to be returned?

Ah yes, my mother goes on holiday to Dorset every summer and now I can see why.

But, what's that - a rock garden that's better than mine?? Curses!

Seeing these photos makes me realise that the UK is very beautiful. Well not all of it of course. I just wish we had better weather, but then of course everything would be less green.

GG: clever girl for finding the text:)

Exile: nothing worth doing is easy. Now I'm boring myself:)

Mag: wish I knew the answer. Time was when it all worked perfectly but nothing stays the same. Boo hoo.

Naomi: guilty conscience maybe.
Laurence was long dead.

Parsnip: it's quite frightening how much one has forgotten. the photographs help.

Gadjo: your mother has excellent taste and will be able to tell you far more about Dorset than I can.

I'm sure your rock garden is lovely.

Joey: we certainly never take good weather for granted and its always a talking point.

Oh a Milly Molly Mandy house - I was in love with that girl when I was a child in NZ. Also where you live is so so tropical looking, gorgeous!

ALW: My girlhood crush was Dimsie I the Angela Brazil books. I longed to go to boarding school, have midnight feasts, play hockey and suck lemons.

Pat said...

ALW: my only excuse - it was a long time ago. The Dimsie books were written, of course, by Dorita Fairlie Bruce not Angela Brazil.
I devoured them both.
Apologies to all concerned.
