The nearest we have to Billie Holliday.
Probably the last post before we leave for a short break.  Back soon - keep the faith.
P.S. If you dry your used tea bags on the AGA to avoid a wet mess in the compost bin don't be surprised if your friends think you have fallen on hard time:)

You sure know how to keep us entertained while you're gone. I'll come back often to hear this again. Love this woman's sound and I've never heard of her.

What is AGA?

Granny Annie: you have good taste:)
She's a single Mum - born in Liverpool in '86. She is a qualified legal secretary. She got fed up of failing in talent shows so did the training for the sake of her children.:
"when you have kids, you become a mum and forget about you as a person so I put my dreams of singing aside. There is only so long you can chase the dream when you are a mum. I wanted the kids to see me do well and be a better role model. They were always seeing their mummy fail. That was why I started college."
Hopefully now her musical career is assured

Great video, what a voice. I hope savannah sees this, I think she would love it.

OK !
just how wet are your tea bags ? Can you hang the teabags on a hook by the compost bin ? I don't have a compost bin but Daughter is making one, wet stuff is bad ?
In Tucson as it will be 100 today, summer and fire season came early, we would not have to worry about wet anything. Dry in a second.

Have a wonderful trip... photos please !

cheers, parsnip

Parsnip: I line the compost bin with newspaper - as suggested by council - it saves buying special bags. Then discovered the tea bags made the whole thing too wet to lift carefully into the collecting compost bin - the paper gave way and dropped the whole mess on the kitchen floor. Hence I started drying on the Aga. Everybody found this hilarious and I decided life's too short to stuff a mushroom and have guiltlessly abandonned tea bags.
Are you still awake?
I hope to take pix:) Of the holiday - not tea bags.

Granny Annie: the Aga is a large stove with ovens, hot plates and I think it heats the water also.

I loved her from her first audition. She is just so genuine, musically and as a person. And what a voice. I said to one of my daughters recently (about Rebecca) 'She is like a GOOD Macy Gray'! (And I love Macy Gray!) But I see the 'Lady Day' also! :¬)

I hope you are having a great time during your vacation. We take mini vacations all the time – and it feels good to be away. I read again all the comments you wrote on my blog – thanks for coming over. This lady has quite a voice. I enjoyed the video. Take care.
