Mrs Mop

The window cleaners have been this morning and I was quite cross to find the balcony windows looking filthy.  On closer inspection discovered it was just the insides - my territory.  Now all sparkling and clean - plus furniture.  MTL remarked that next time they should do the lot.  Would that he had spoken earlier.  Did you guess we have family coming?

Beautiful views. Are they the best in the neighborhood?

Cheers.

Randall: the view is limited because our garden is invisible to the world - which suit us. Margarets garden used tofall away and they had fantastic view of the coast.

Map: we only get glimpses of the sea but the hills are all around.

Dear Mrs. Mop, I love your view and I love your name. Sounds like a blog title. We always need incentive to deep clean around here and a granddaughter with her boyfriend would definitely call for exceptional results. Have fun!

Granny Annie: here's the history lesson:
Mrs Mop waas a much loved character in the war-time radio show ITMA - it's that man again starring Tommy Handley. She played the part of a char - a cleaner and always prefaced her entry with 'Can I do yer now sir?'
Tommy was very popular "His raillery was without cynicism, and his satire without malice."
It was programmes like this that brightenend the darkest days.

Clean windows on the inside, and furniture can only mean you have guests coming, or you have an essay due in. And as you're not at college... :)

Tsk. Now I'm looking at my windows and sadly I am responsible for doing them inside and out... and then when I have done them I will also feel responsible for the suicidal sparrows that crash into them.
