Oh Indeed---She Is BEAUTIFUL!!! And that screen is so wonderfully BIG!!! Congrats, my dear. I'm still back with the 'moniter', and I like it a lot...But I must say, the size of that screen is most appealing.
Granny Annie: no name as yet. I tend to call them my puter. It's not all beer and skittles - it took me all morning to discover how to publish the photo.
Scarlet: I'm slightly techier now and call the screen the monitor. It is Lenova like the puter. The background is from my Exmoor pictures. I had to buy the speakers separately because they forego to tell me it didn't have them built in. But the sound now is divine.
Naomi: maybe the picture is misleading. I don't think it is especially big - big enough for me.
UB: so true. Some Blogs with lots of stuff on the home page used to take forever to reach the comment box. Vast improvement now. The mouse was over exciteable and a bit uncontrollable but ~Tim has given it some sedative and it's fine now:)
how wonderful! great to have a full "station" at which to sit and create or research or whatever - i really love my desktop, too - and find my laptop just a bit too stifling [except for travel, etc] - recently i bought a "tablet" which i think will be replacing my laptop even for travel - especially because i can download books etc on it and it's so easily carried - anyway, so happy for you - and isn't it grand to have good sound, as well!
Very nice! I prefer a desktop to a laptop anyday. I hate typing on a laptop. My hands just don't like it. My monitor didn't come with built in speakers either but that's fairly common these days, I think. Glad you are up and running again!
Pat, I'm trying to post a comment here but it is proving impossible - if I do get through, could you ask Blogger what is going on? I type the right letters but it says I haven't and then I try the sound thing which has so much background noise on it you can't hear the letters!
Pat, there's a loudspeaker option beside the letter verification that allows you to hear the letters via speech. However, it is drowned in background noise (deliberately, I think) and delivered in an American accent which makes it impossible to understand! So no better and dreadful for those with sight or hearing impairments ....
Marjolein: when I was getting photos ready to post I found it difficult to contol the dialogue on the same page. It's in draft so will try again tomorrow. It is so much faster.
That's a bit posh isn't it? I'm envious. I think it's about time I modernised and threw out my very old desktop, I just can't get the wicks for it any more and I think the springs are about to break. . . .
Yes, I think you have a lovely setup. I like it that your computer desk is spacious, allowing you to click and type without nuisance. Did you buy that as a set or separately? That’s what I like about desktop computers; you could save money by buying parts separately. Anyway, I also like your wallpaper. It seems like the monitor is a window looking out the mountains and sky. ;)
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Savannah: # 1 son tried to persuade me to have a laptop but I need a station- it's my security blanket.
Thank you - it's good to have good news.xoxox
Yes she is lovely. What is her name? I am sooooooo jealous!
You look like you have the same screen as me!

The best reveal of getting a new computer is realizing how slow your old computer was.

Great looking set-up! Have fun with it.
Cheers.

Randall: glad you like it:)
Very smart, Mum2!
John: :)
sure is
Looks good - like the large screen!
Good to see the speakers too - you can now check out the animation thing on my blog from a couple of posts ago :)
Surely a computer is male not a "she"?
It has a mind of its own and can be temperamental but is quite useful about the house (although not capable of washing and ironing)
My case rests...
Kim: what's this large screen? Have you all got lap tops?
enjouyed the animation:)
Rog: you may well be right but as soon as I saw it showing Exmoor my head was full of Stevie singing 'Isn't SHE lovely?

How do you fit your legs under the table with all that stuff there?
Gypsywoman: the tablet sounds interesting - must see if I can grasp what it does.
Being without asny sound at all was awful.
John: good question. The lower shelf pulls out.
Niiiice!
So, been listening to any nice tunes with them there lovely speakers wot you got?? :¬)

Map: today I hope to catch up with one of my favourite singers:)
Ponita: I would have the same difficulty typing. Now if Ican just eliminate the squeak in my swivel desk chair.
Very lovely Pat. Makes ME feel to write :) Enjoy!
Luna
Luna: and MTL has found the oil can for my squeaky chair so all is hunky dory:)

Very nice I bet you are going to enjoy using that! Nice screen size too.
Belleek: you did get through. What is the sound thing?
Joey: now I come to think of it I imagine I could watch films from it?

Now to attempt those dratted letters again!
Looks a lot like my computer! :) Is everything working the way you want it to?

Keith: it's a joy when one is used to it. You are quite a techie so will have no problems. Do it!
