Please excuse me if posts and visits are thin on the ground this week. I have a lot of real life catching up to do and the only way is to try to stay away from the computer for a while. The good thing is we’ll have family here – always a pleasure.

Nina Simone! A fantastic singer, but what a pill! They recently published a biography of her and I never realized what a train wreck that woman was. With great talent, sometimes, comes great madness.

Enjoy your time with family, Pat!

I always loved Nina's voice - didn't know she was a "train wreck".

P.S. I fixed the link in my post today.

I should really log off and do the ironing and a few other bits and pieces... just a few more blogs and I will be on my way...

UB: sad but true. Her passion is pretty obvious in her rendering.

Judy: thanks. I'll follow the link later.

Scarlet: I found some toe separators that I once sent for and they are perfect for protecting my hands and arms when I'm ironing. Bit hot though.

LOM: I can hear you from here;)

Mapstew: I will. Thank you;)

These are very good reasons to not be blogging. Peace out, sister P.P.P.

Family and fun are the best reasons not to be blogging. Hope the sun is shining down your way (it's not here: grey and rainy). Hello, I'm back! And doing everything in the wrong order. Word verification: pesti. Can't possibly have any significance ;-)

Yes, I can always listen (and watch) Nina Simona, surely the most all-round talented of all female jazz singers. But, as the others have pointed out, what a nutter!

Pat said...

Gadjo: top of the morning to you.
Re the Diva - clearly I need to do some googling. Sometimes it seems the larger the talent the more impossible the person. Picasso leaps to mind.

You enjoy yourself, girl!

Trust me. I understand the problem. Good luck catching up!

Cheers.

Randall: I knew you'd understand;)

Isn't there a story about Simone shooting her neighbour's cat, can't remember why?

I hope you have enjoyed your family being around, have a good weekend.

Pat said...

Eryl: I did google her but failed to discover her less lovely side.
It's been great with the family - I'm exhausted, fat and full of determination to finally finish the writing stuff I have to send off.

I've been rather tardy getting over here Pat...I hope you are enjoying your Family's Visit....I know you so enjoy your times with each of them....And I'll see you when you return, my dear....

Naomi: another comment disappeared. I know I said I'd be coming over. And I did.

So now I have faster connection, etc...and family visiting! Real life is wonderful.

GG: that's great. I've missed you. It's chaos here. Our long lost handy man is here - he is in much demand and MTL has given him a list of stuff to do - all over the house and garden and I never know where he's going to pop up next and more family this week-end.
