A little inspiration to start the day. Thanks, dear.

Ha, you've been reading my mind, haven't you?

You, Charlie Chaplin, Mark Twain, Emerson and Onassis.

And General Patton!

Douglas Adams was a notoriously tardy writer. At least one editor would send somebody down to his office to haunt him until he'd sat down and written the copy he'd promised to have delivered the previous day.

I've quoted before and I'll quote again...

"You live you die, the bit in between is called life. Enjoy" : Grant Naylor 'Red Dwarf'

I would live by that except Homer got in the way.....

"Alcohol...the cause of...and solution to all of life's problems"

Mickle: good - that's what I like to hear;)

Randall: always at your service:)

GG: now the others are going to sulk.

Kevin: oooh I love a bit of background info. Thank you.

Four.D: that says it all really.
I assume you mean Homer as in Simpson?

Very good quotes, Pat, and you know I am always happy to see one by Edgar Cayce!

Dear Pat,

It is always pleasant to visit here, and then you get me thinking too,

Judy: now he's the one I'm least familiar with. Time for a google.

Mickle : that's very nice to hear especially after an afternoon revising my book:)

That was unexpectedly charming of Onassis. I know Jackie wanted stability and, let's face it, money, but there must have been other factors.

Charlie Chaplin was indeed a genius. Such wise words indeed Pat.

All of the quotes are quite good, but I liked the quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson the best.

Z: how odd! I saw it as his bitterness at her attempt to bleed him dry. Then again I've just been watching 'True Blood';)

Jimmy: I'm one of those weird people who never got Chaplin. But Buster Keaton is another story.

Charlie: a timely one indeed;)

Jimmy: re Chaplin I admire his talent but never warmed to him.

Ooh, missed these - lovely, thank you!

Queenie: pleasure;)

I like the Charlie Chaplin one best of all.

Sandy: it's a comforting thought isn't it?

I know that whooshing sound.

Pat said...

Rashbre: pretty familiar to all writers I suspect:)
