Catching up after a few days away.
It must have been difficult for your family to see someone leave for the states. Certainly travel between the continents wasn't as frequent as it is today. I feel fortunate that the EMBLOS has been able to visit her home annually since we married.
Randall: the EMBLOS is very lucky in having such a generous husband. All of us have visited the States frequently but I only remember my aunt returning home to England once.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Cheers.

Lovely...and yes, I see the retreat to the bed and phone in many old folks I know. Until the phone confuses me too much.
Maggie: every ten years I think one should be prepared to change one's life style. I've got one looming:)
Gorgeous photo, and that gown...Balmain!
Yes, she sounded like quite a gal. Must have had quite a following!!
Kanani: oddly only Naomi had heard of her.
She looks a little like Kay Kendall in that photo.
