This oddity is a shelter - wlking from Instow to the Quay Almost the end of a long walk - memorial to a fisherman drowned aged 55. Over the stile and then home sweet home. See the raised sun deck. Last lunch at the Cedar's Hotel
What a treasure treat of pictures, Pat. And I did indeed see the Birdie...A most unusual beak! That whole area has so much character.....And the "creeks"...I can understand why you love them...! Thanks for sharing all these wonderful views of where you were.....That Sun Deck looked Marvelous, too!
The shelter really is an oddity, I love coming across things like that, they stop you in your tracks and make you do at least one double take. I bet the tractor drivers love it, having to negotiate around that arm!
Naomi: is it a heron? Sadly we only used the sun deck a couple of times. The wind got up and was almost gale force.
Eryl: actually I think the path veered into a bend so tractors would get past with a bit of judicial steering. From a distance it looked like an elephant's tusk.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.

Once again, I love seeing the pix of your ambles, Pat. And I like the chairs in the last photo.
Judy: I wish I owned one of the chairs such a wonderful design - just hits you in all the right places.
