I've never understood cricket, although I understand that wickets are oft "sticky" which is a bad thing, I believe. Plus, the bats are more suitable for disciplining wayward offspring, than hitting a ball, methinks.

Randall: and then there's 'silly mid on'. Greek to me also:)
But on bats I do think ours are better than baseball bats. Much more chance of actually hitting the ball.
