I still don't see what he was painting numbers on apples for. It doesn't look that artistic.

Z: I live in hope that one of our clever friends will explain all.

I cross my 7s like that. My mum used to, though I can't remember why, so I started doing it too. Now I can't not.

It's so you can send it back if it's rotten!

*ducks*

Kim: I do too; it's the continental way. It avoids being taken for 1.

John.g;; bed for you young man!

Why was he writing on the apples?

Judy: I wish you hadn't asked me that. It's something to do with computer programmes and Apple - commemorating Ada Lovelace who did the first computer programme. The comment are sort of helpful.

Well....I thought this might illuminate it all....LOL! I was wrong.
Pretty Apple, though.
I DO get that it is somehow connected to The Apple Computer and I think the part that really confuses me is Linda Lovelace---NOY the one I am thinking of. That there could be TWO Linda Lovelaces.....lol....Well, who knew?

Naomi: now you are confusing me. I threw in Linda as a joke because she shared the same surname as Eva Lovelace - that's all - no other connection. The Apple connection is there but Gawd knows how:)
