All good things…

Aside

The Darlings have just left and the silence is deafening. On a cheery note (for Shane and Dolly Parton) I’m uplifted by some new music. It was grandson T who introduced me to The New Radicals and now it’s a group called Panic at the Disco; the song: a segueing of ‘ We’re so starving’ and ‘Nine in the Afternoon’ from the album ‘Pretty , Odd’. Awesome!

I have been awarded three gongs – the bottom three on my side bar which my granddaughter has placed there for me. It is very kind of my blogging friends and I think I have been spoilt long enough, so no more awards for yours truly – I shall treasure the ones I have.

The gold cup is from Belleek (sidebar) and in turn I award it to Kim, John G, Eryl, and Randall and Spanish Goth – all good eggs. The ‘Sharing the love’ from SHER-endipity I award to Sablonneuse, Z, the Apprentice, Zinnia and Kenju because they do, and the Super Commenter award from LOM http://anewwayoflife08.wordpress.com. I award to Shane, Hoss, Daphne,Tan Lucy Pez and Doctor Maroon as their comments are usually pungent and make me laugh.

Back to reality and put the coffee on- I’m coming round.

Aw thank you Pat, you made my day, especially as it is pouring - again and I'm grizzling at my son.

THANKS, Pat! I sure didn't expect that, and I am honored.

Good to know you can get back to blogging now; I've missed you!

Och, and double och.

When I politely declined the CBE, I swore that I'd forego all other awards and titles. Thus, it is with a cheeriness of heart that I will contradict myself and accept the SC award. But, what with space issues being such as they are, I haven't even the dustiest corner of a dusty dusty sidebar upon which to locate the award. Thus again, I'll leave it at your's if that's ok.

Unrelated: on matters musical, I really am far from being up with your New Radicalising, Panicking at Discos and so on, though much admiration is poured towards the grandchildren.

Now, if you will forgive me, I'm having a leisurely evening with the TV (television, not transvestite... I'm not that interesting).

BMXing at the Olympics?! Fantastic!

Well that's just swell: My family got three of the awards (or maybe you didn't know that Shane is my cousin and Tan Lucy is my sister. Blog Cousin. Blog Sister. Same to me.

Anna: I'm glad it was welcome:)

Judy:I'm going to read your excellent post about Mr Kenju's stroke to MTL.

Randall; you're among good company.

Hoss: nothing like keeping it in the family:)

John.g: Pleasure hon:)

Shane: I'll take great care of it for you. BMXing? MTL had to explain although I did know they were bikes. Seems like anything goes at the Olympics these days. I'll bet they didn't do that in Delphi back in the day.

I'd like to thank all the little people, and you know who you are, who have helped me reach this pinnacle of success.

My Mama would be so proud.

Really,Pat,thanks! I'm pleased and surprised. Can I store it over here at your place?

Lots of Awards and Lots of Awardee's...LOL!

Dispite the fact that I take the Emmy Voting very seriously, I have strange feelings about Awards. So, I rarely accept them and I never pass them on, because---If I don't accept it, it seems a strange thing to do....
But, I congratulate you, my dear Pat....You certainly deserve any and all Awards that come your way, my dear!
CONGRATS!

TLP: will store it with pleasure. I don't know how to put it on my side -bar either. Just kidding:)

Naomi: I knew how you felt - otherwise you'd be first on the list.

Kim: my pleasure.

An award. Of course you are 100% right. 100%!

Listen, about the bloggers you met, never mind all the detail about what they ate (suspiciously like a filler that was) tell us about their character flaws.
I mean you never said whether they were self obsessed failed writers (like some we could mention) all you said was they had the side salad and the duck. Throw us a bone here.
We're amongst ourselves, they'll never know. Which of them was Mills and which was Boon?
How much did they drink in reality? All proper writers drink buckets. Look at Jilly Cooper. Did either of them have leather elbow patches? Wear a wide brimmed hat or have any other affectation?

When I met Kim, he did all of the above. It made my day. the second and third time he was just normal.

Z: I'm glad you're glad:)

Doccie: food increases its fascination as one gets older so you'll just have to lump it. The drink was as writ and the info I gave was - I think - sufficient without invading their privacy. They were two individual, lovely people and their blogs are both worth reading. Bedtime for me. Night night.

Funny how my current post had something to do with Darlings...

Thank you so much, Pat. No-one has thought my blog was worth an award before so I shall treasure it. Sorry to have been so long in replying. Your comments on my blog went for approval this time for some silly reason.
Of course, I could have a few problems if I'm supposed to put the award on my blog . . . . .
But many thanks ance again

Sandy: I enjoy reading your blog. I always have to get help to put mine up - one of the reasons why I'm calling a halt and I feel more than appreciated:)

Thank you, Pat - that's so kind. (And apologies for tardiness, I've been away for a few days at a lovely wedding.)

Zinnia: the pleasure is mine - especially as it's the last time for me.
