Did you get a poster with your name on it instead of the bullfighter? To put alongside the empty chianti bottle with a candle in and other enchanting souvenirs of foreign holidays in the 1970's.
Hello Pi, OOPS.. I seemed to get cut off there - goodness knows what happened??? How do you manage to always show something new and different on your site - every time I take a peek something else is there. Do you sleep at your desk? hehe.. by the by, why was Cordoba called the Beatle - was it the hair? Cheers Kate X.
4d: I hope I'm not in the same category as the Dragon. you were just like my younger son who also never forgave me for having a rabbit fur coat in the sixties.
Just popped in to read the comments. I've never seen a bull fight, but consider what ballroom dancing would be like without the Paso Doble.
As for the rabbit coat, I knew a lady with a mink coat, heads attached. She went to our church when I was young, and I couldn't divert my attention from those eyes on her shoulder staring at me during the service--never heard a word of the sermon.
Michele sent me to see what's happening here this week.
Although I respect the traditional aspects, I detest bull-fighting and pity the poor bull - dragged from its nice field, rope strung around its genitals to make it mad, then men tease it and poke it with sharp sticks before finally trying to kill it.
I saw your comment over at Michele's while there----BRAVO! Sunshine! Hooray, Pat....Hope you enjoy getting out in your garden and checking on all the beauties there! It was overcast and cold again here today....I can't keep up! (lol)
It is warm here today too, Pat, or it will be by noon. I would like to plant, but we are in a terrible drought and planting anything new would be foolish - as we can't water anything.
I am so glad I've never seen a bullfight. We almost went to one in Mexico, but luckily, we decided not to. I am sure I would have walked out!
CQ: time passes and now I would avoid it like the plague.
Naaomi: I got some really good clearing up done; I may be getting help in the garden- fingers crossed.
Judy: how different; all my empty plant pots and buckets are filled to overflowing with rain water. I don't regret having seen the bull fight - but once was enough.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Daphne: dammit no I missed that! I had the empty chianti bottle though. It exploded one night and made an awful mess.
Oops again - Old age instead of creeping in, is racing to meet me
I meant El Cordobes not Cordoba - just call be Numpty! Bye K.
Kate: it was partly the hair, it was the same era and he had the same pop quality. I didn't even notice the error - same excuse,
This is good. Good to be here this weekend. Glad that michele sent me here.
Hi Gautami. Nice to see you!
I saw him!!!! I went to Spain as a kid with my dad and The Dragon.
I didn't like bull fighting and started booing.
I was escorted out by my dad and The Dragon before it got nasty.
The Spanish were surprised at a young English lad standing up and shouting "Murdering B*st*rds!!!"
Actually my dad and The Dragon were surprised too.
I don't think El Cordobes heard me though..... sadly
I was a bit of a rebel even then....

Mum2, who's hiding under the blanket?

Cheers.
Johng: behave! I watched 'The Bourne supremacy' tonight for the second time. Your fault!
Randall: I still have a mink - sans heads - and when it's bitterly cold I wear it but avoid little boys in church:) It's time I was in bed.

I'll stick with the Pasa Doble, Pat :-)
Happy Mother's Day!

I have never seen a bull fight. Michele sent me.
Hi BB! I don't expect you ever will now.
