Two years.

Aside

January 14th 2006 I published my first post and now have 831 under my belt. Actually there was one before that on a green-edged background which is lost in cyber space – endlessly floating round like Bowie’s Major Tom.

I read somewhere that two years is the average length of a blog and as I would like to continue I have made a few mental notes to facilitate this:-

1 Not to panic when real life intrudes and I get behind with posts and visiting other bloggers.

2 To try to continue – at my own pace.

3 To try to brush up my technical abilities; I have improved – I can now add or subtract names on my side –bar, but not alas awards and two are waiting. I have got more awards than I deserve and don’t feel I should get any more but I’m most grateful for the ones I have. Thank you so much. And thank you to those of you who take the trouble to come back and plough through the stuff I churn out.

.

Don’t miss latest episode below:)

Happy Blogday from him, and Happy Blogday from me!

I still think you should publish your memoirs.

Hello, Michele sent me to say happy blogiversary! blogaverary? blogoversary? Oh, well, you know what I mean! Keep doing what you enjoy with the blog - it is yours in the first place. I think I'll be reading your posts (off and on) for some time to come.

Congratulations for making it to the landmark two years. I wonder if this average works in the same way as the one about men and heart attacks: if they make it past fifty five they'll keep going into their seventies and beyond? If so, one more post and we can trust that you'll be blogging for years to come.

Happy blogday, Pat. I'm approaching my second anniversary this month too (can't remember the date) so I hope this won't signal the end of blogging for either of us!

Pat said...

Z: thank you! I think you have done masses more than I have.

Yes Happy Blogday missus! I think you do splendidly on the techie side. You are light years ahead of my husband, he's clueless -can't even plug in the printer.

And I appreciate you warm, kind cyber friendship.

831 posts in two years? That means you've posted every day and twice on Sundays. Happy blogbirthday anyway, and you ain't going nowhere until you finish that story!

Pat said...

Anna: sounds like MTL. And ditto to you dear.

Daphne: cripes! When you put it like that it can't be true. I know what it is. Picasa only let me publish four photos at a time so I expect they are counted as separate posts. I didn't intend to deceive - honest!

Congratulations of the two years. I also went through a shall I shan't I phase around the two year mark and decided to carry on, but also ot to get too bent out of shape if I missed a few days here and there.

Oddly enough, most days there seem to be bloggable moments and I'm amused when folk that know me well will even point them out to me!

Best!
