At present I can't publish photos and writing together. Maybe I tried to do too many - or maybe it's retaliation because I won't give Google my mobile number?

Fantastic. A real feast, especially if you care anything at all about architecture. Wish like hell I could walk those grounds. Maybe someday... [gets all wistful.]
Have you tried to make your photos a smaller size, Pat? I know blogger has a size limit on them. Not sure if that is the issue but it's worth a try.
Is that painting of the building IN the building, or is it yours? Very well done, it is.
Parsnip: there were some excellent paintings and altogether the house was beautifully dressed.
Map: it's good to be back - once I've got things sorted.
UB: you could have accompanied me on my lone walks.
Ponita: I don't alter the size. Seems other are having Picasa problems too.
The painting was in our bedroom so must belong to John the owner.
