This is a bit of an ear worm and it's really bugging me now because it sounds very much like something else, which is anoyingly out of my brain's grasp. Sx
I haven't seen this show yet---But I will watch a couple of episodes this week--Is it showing there now, Pat?.... Those credits went by so fast--and BOTH times, I couldn't registerthe Director's name---It wasn't even up there for 2 seconds...! I DID recogonize a couple of names though---Mark Wahlburg is such an enterprising young man--He is the Exec. Producer of "Entourage", too, as well as a couple of other HBO series, PLUS being a very good actor....! Casting by Cathy Sandrich---I know her from Theatre West
A Very catchy tune, isn't it? And it seems to be true for everyone these days.
Naomi: I didn't know any of this. I just saw this great young man singing it on the Graham Norton show and got it on you tube. Do let me know about the show. We may get it before my demise - with any luck:)
Jimmy: you can whistle? Is there no end to your talents?
Pat, even dark clouds have a silver linings doll. My writing may be gloomy, but there is always a cheeky grin about my lips. Apart fae when I'm whistling of course!
Eryl: I read 'Old Filth' first and then 'The Man in the Wooden Hat'.
I believe there is another one in the series but haven't time to investigate before we go away. I became totally involved with the characters. Let me know what you think.
I knew the song but didn't know who the artiste was or that it was the theme tune to a programme. It reminds me a bit of the late Gil Scott Heron's "The Bottle" which I posted on Facebook last week on hearing of his death. Is Aloe Blacc any relation to Aloe Vera?
Daphne: I'll try and listen to 'The Bottle' but it's packing day and I shouldn't be here. 'Is Aloe Blacc any relation to Aloe Vera?' No but a distant relative of Aloe Sailor I believe.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Scarlet: we're here to please. Unfortunately I can't help you because my brain is out of my grasp at the minute.
Ha, this sounds like everyone's anthem these days.
I'd better hop along to tutor to earn my little two cents today...
Haha, now I can't get that song, 'New York City's killing me' out of my head!

GG: ;it makes me think of my Dad. I know he would have loved it.
Mapstew: glad you're singing it:)

I'm sure I've heard that before, but goodness knows where. The show looks rather good too, I'll have to ask my son about it.
P.S. Which is your favourite Jane Gardham novel? I'm off to Amazon for a peruse.

The video left out the part about going into different businesses and filling out job applications or scouring the newspaper for employment ads.
Granny Annie: poetic license I think;)
