Keith: 'How many innocent people have been killed in Libya by our bombs and bullets?' That was what my last post was about -indirectly- but today is about LOVE.
Hi Pat! It's good to hear from you. This has always been one of my favourite songs! And so fitting for this week. Seems like our world is in upheaval and turmoil in a way it never has been before.
But, as geological records show, upheaval and change have been a part of the earth's natural history, and turmoil and conflict have been a part of mankind's history.
I think we are all so very connected now, (technologically, and perhaps spiritually), that we all feel for one another in ways we never did before, and issues seem to pile up one one top the other overwhelming and scaring us sometimes.
I always loved this song and Jackie DeShannon version was Steller! It is so true---This Is What The World Needs Now---More Than Ever!!! I feel like the World is coming to an end!
Naomi: Ronan Keating - the Irish singer has just recorded it with Burt himself, but it isn't avilable yet and I love this version. Take heart Naomi, the poppies will bloom again.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Seems to me that although the world needs love our lords and masters are determined to enforce it with wars.
