A Rare View for us

The north wind doth blow and we do have snow but the roar of the wind makes me wonder if tonight's jaunt will be wise.

Nice.

We've got about 2-3 inches in Herts but more is promised.

Word verification 'patis' - tempting!

Ran Carol to the hospital for work. Roads pretty clear of cars. Snowing lightly now with about 3 inches having settled.

Good job she doesn't work too far away.

Popping up the shop later to stock up on essentials such as vodka and...erm...um....oh yes! Beer.

Might be sensible to stay in. May not be taking my own advice - we're supposed to be off on Eurostar tomorrow and I'm tempted to go to London today, to make sure we get away. Have to get my Paramour's agreement, though, and he's always resistant to doing anything earlier than absolutely necessary. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a good time.

I have tons of the white stuff Pat!
I thought it wasn't supposed to snow here...?

Makes it all look very scenic, when away from the traffic.

Not sure I'd be jaunting, unless on foot.

AndrewM: watch it matey!

Four D: lucky Carol!

Now you don't want to do that do you?

Queenie: MTL has just showered and put his finery on (early!)so it looks as if we may be going. He shares the Paramour's enthusiasm:) Hope the trip works out safely.

Scarlet: I saw Tiverton on the TV and felt responsible. Sorry. Be better later:)

Rashbre: if we do we'll be driven by a pro.

Well, it's certainly pretty but best observed from INSIDE I would say.

Only go out if you HAVE to- the roads are treacherous. Beautiful though :)

Naomi: I feel I must leave the decision to MTL. The cold is freezing my brain.

Leah: it was early this morning - dawnlit?

Sandy: it's the wind that is the killer.

Cinnamon: I think the taxi driver will probably make the decision for us.

The drama of it all, the snow, the roaring wind, oooh, I love it.

Pat said...

John.g: but do you have the wind?

GG: can we swap places?

this snow just seems to be constant at the moment. It is beautiful, but it took me three hours to get into work yesterday and two this morning. We've got more snow, (sorry I'm giggling like a school girl, I did a typo and typed snot instead of snow), due overnight.

We had eight or nine inches yesterday. Just light flurries today and although we had a slight thaw it felt very raw indeed with the wind.

Whatever you do, take care.

Pat said...

St Jude: I don't know which would be worse for you - snot or more snow. I hope you escape both:)

Kevin: ah I remember it well. We will be very careful - promise:)

Patricia my dear, my advice would be to give the trip to the offy for your usual kerry-oot a miss for the night hen. If I know you are snug and warm by the fire, a glass of malt to hand, and a good book in the other, I shall sleep better masel.

Maggie: pleasure;)

Jimmy: sleep tight dear boy - all is well but we did venture. Was the golf good?

Spectacular photos !
Your view is lovely, twilight is my favorite time of day

Do you usually not get much snow ?
It is 70 today in Tucson, one of the warmer places in the US, we are hoping for our winter to start next week. We need the rain and snow.

John.G; har har!

Parsnip: it is rare at this level to get snow and our proximity to the sea - must be years ago - but up on the moor and the hills around here there is snow more frequently. I hope you get what you need - we are all fed up with the disruption. My cleaner just phoned and isn't coming tomorrow because of the icy roads.

The golf was excellent hen, and I only wish I had gotten the chance to play a round with yersel.

Read into that what you will. : )

Jimmy: I'm an embarrassment on a golf course; in a group lesson I was hit on my neck by a golf ball from an idiot learner and on a golf range near Skipton I misshit, the ball rebounded and hit me on the nose and I ended in hospital and still have a faint mark.
