Hello Pat! No, I still don't have a phone line, so I'm still struggling to get a proper Internet connection. But I've discovered that if I stand in the stairwell of this apartment, the Internet available in the office reaches here. Maybe I should get a portable chair and sit here with this notebook!
I read a post where you're thinking of publishing online! HOOORAY!!! It's what I've been working towards too. BUT I need Internet!!
Your home and garden are as lovely as ever, and how I miss you all!
I have never been a material girl but suddenly I have a list of "things" I want to own and a new camera tops the list. As much as you love pictures, you are going to keep us well entertained.
GG: I miss you too. A chair in the stairwell sounds a good idea. I'll let you know if there is any progress re publishing online. Life is very busy just now and I go on holiday soon. First for yonks!
Sounds like you're well prepared. Don't forget to wave when you're furthest North, I'll be the far side of the mountain range directly East, just a few hundred km away, waving back :)
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

Lovely, Pat!
Glorious colour! The first one looks a tad Autumnal!
Looking good :)
Those pictures look great!
What they said! - glad you've sorted out your photo-posting problem.
John: I bought locally so I have backup:)
Rog: don't say that! You'll frighten summer away.
Kim: it' very user friendly and even fits my camera case and strap which my son gave me.
Marjolein: I hadn't realised just how old my camera had become.
Z: the scanned ones are still a problem and time is too fleeting just now to fiddle.
Your acer is more advanced than my red one. The buds are just opening here "oop t'North". Obviously it's because it's colder here.
Looks like you are having fun with your new camera! I am too. Lovely colours.
Lovely, now I shall see more photos of your wonderful garden.
What type of camera did you chose ?
cheers, parsnip
Keith: one of the reasons we settled here.
Joey: I'm trying to get really familiar with it before the cruise.
Parsnip: it is a Ricoh HZ15. simple and very like - to handle - my old Sony.
I am so glad you got a new camera for your trip. Well done! That first pic looks Autumnal.

I will get that portable chair!
Lovely pictures and your season seems surprisingly more advanced than here.

Beautiful to see into the bright colours that surround you. Gardens are wonderful
Exile: this is how acers look in April in the UK.
GG: I miss you too. A chair in the stairwell sounds a good idea.

Rashbre: the garden has been very advanced this year but I have just been out snapping bluebells and there is still a nip in the air.
Granny Annie: I am breaking the habit of a lifetime and actually reading the F Manual.
Wendy House: yes indeed ; I wouldn't want to live without one.
Have you got extra memory cards(?) and batteries for the trip?
Nea : I'm told this new camera'a memory card is almost impossible to use up and for the batteries I'm taking a plug thing to recharge.
Sounds like you're well prepared. Don't forget to wave when you're furthest North, I'll be the far side of the mountain range directly East, just a few hundred km away, waving back :)
Nea: it's n date. I may yodel:)
