The river's running dark blue!

Hooray!  Oxford won the boat race.  For the last 35 years I have watched the boat race - until recently with Alastair.  This week-end has been very busy - preparing for the decorators tomorrow  - 8 heavy curtains.  I stopped work at 5pm, poured a kir, switched on and went out like a light and woke in time to hear the results.  I'm mortified.

Hahahahahahahaha I don't know how many times I try to watch some show or a movie on TV and I watch the first 15 minutes or so and then wake up for the credits. So happy the Square Ones are sound asleep too, we are all out sound asleep.

cheers, parsnip

Oh the terror! It is happening to us all.

My father was an Oxford man, so I never visited The Other Place in his lifetime, though it was within two hours of us. But, being quite shallow, I also thought i could never support Cambridge because of that horrible, wishy-washy blue!

Ha! Zed! I thought I was the only one who was that shallow!

I once 'lost' a whole weekend, something to do with a certain chef, Amsterdam comes to mind. I'm not supposed to talk about it. ;-)

I lost my customary bet of sixpence again this year. Sadly my team didn't come first.

Granny Annie: as long as I keep a few marbles:)

Z: I remember being dazzled by the prettiness of the Cambridge blazer - in Oxford it was too. Maybe it was a special one - creamy white with pale greeny blue trim. Shallow moi?

Maurchheen: you did the museums of course?

Rashbre : I'd be a hypocrite if I commiserated with you. We've had a lot of losses over the years.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who falls asleep in front of the telly -even when there's something i want to watch!
