However there is always something a little different about them.
For example the Birthday card with the Morris Minor is very Free - one of his favourite bands.
It's F reg, 1968, the year Free formed. It's a Minor Traveller, the car in which Paul Kossoff drove the band round the country when they started. And it's going "Over The Green Hills" their first recorded song.
The Mother's Day card he bought because he thought it looked like me. In fact it is me.
Well spotted Angus.
The photos are acting up; please click on the first to see the whole thong

Great photo! My Mum had a grey Morris Minor 1000, reg. no. 993MMB! Red leather seats and the old trafficaters!
Woah - how come there's a card with you on it, and where do I get hold of one?
That's you?!?! How fantastic! What an eye for detail! All right now!
Both photos are gorgeous and I can't believe he didn't know that was you!!
Do you get compensated for your image used like that?
John: red leather seats! That's posh.
Kim: Angus bought it in a charity shop. He'll try to get more and I shall be getting in touch with the card people and suggest they give me lots of cards, in which case...
Judy: I'm not sure when copyright
lapses - it was in the fifties but I have their web site and address.
Exile: it certainly is me and I still have the cutting.
WOW!! :-)

In "Clinton Cards" shop I saw a big display last week of Mothers day cards, and strangely I did notice one section with a few cards in it marked "Mothers Day: Vintage" next to "Mothers Day: Humorous". If I had known I would have had a look, but not having a mother I didn't bother. Of course the display will be gone now. Damn!
Afterthought: I think the printers made a mistake, you looked far too young to be a mother.
Keith: I think I was preggers with my first child. I believe it was in Vintage cards.
Maurcheen::)
If I saw that card I would have thought it was you too !
I love all paper goods and for many years was a card artist.
cheers, parsnip
How wonderful that he found that card, Pat! You look stunning and that car is Fabulous, too!!! A belated Happy Everything, my dear!
What a treasure to have that card....If you are able to get some---I would love one, too!!!!
Pardon me while I faint and fall in the floor. You are just too cool!
Hello Pat. You haven't changed a bit since that was taken.
Parsnip: you still are a card artist.
Naomi: I'll do my best to get more cards. I have emailed them.
Granny Annie: calm down dear. It's only an old photo:)
Mike and Ann: that's stretching it rather a lot:)
Wow, you're on a card - that is so cool. Would love to see some photos of your modeling career - cool car and all. Happy Mum's Day!
Or is it the second one you?
Only slightly Pat. You are totally recognisable on the photo, anyway.
I believe that feasibly, you are as coy about your private life as myself. However, I can think of nothing I would enjoy better than sipping something soothing while relaxing with your published memoirs to hand.
Your mystique is as enticing as your inner warmth dear lady. In your honour I have purchased a sumptuous Golden Laced Wyandotte. A regal species, full of grace and charm. The very first time she glanced in my direction I knew that she would become 'Lady Patricia' and have every other hen flummoxed at her sheer beauty.
ALW: there are some on FB and in the archives.
Mike and Ann; thank you:)
Chef: I'm not familiar with GLW but I'll bet Granny Annie is. I did google and watched a video - lovely plumage - so thank you - I am honoured.
I thought this was going to be a post about Poker :-) because I am silly.
But I agree WOW! You are fab Pat... I would love to have one of those cards too.
Sx
Scarlet: I'll do my best but have you see the price of stamps? You may have to collect it:)
Haha I love the card with you on it. What a great retro look. And of course kids do know everything!
You're famous!

I was tempted to post a picture regarding 'to see the whole thong' but I'm too polite.
Andrew M: too kind:)
