Forgot to mention on your other post... I have never seen Witch Hazel and only know it from the bottles my Mum had on the shelve. Now I must look this plant up !

Joey: thank you. I just wish MTL would decide to ditch all the extraneous stuff that the decorators have stowed in the loft. MTL thinks it is all coming back in the attic rooms. Over my D.B.!
Ponita : they are very desirable but the previous owner used it as a dark room and dipped photos in the bath - which rather took the shine off things.
Parsnip: one of the bedrooms on the floor below. I sleep there if ever one of us is ill.
Witch hazel is not a very beautiful tree. The photo of the blossom is surprisingly good - it can look very tatty.
